Prototype Description:

TrinityRail offers the 5,201-cubic-foot, through center sill, 3-bay covered hopper car,
optimized to transport agricultural products, sugar, dry chemicals, or other similar
products. Car length has been optimized for increased efficiencies in unit train movements.
Additional features include round side and roof construction, multiple hatch and gate
options to meet specific shipper needs and a high side sill for easier access to outlet
gates and vibrator brackets. Car length over the pulling face of couplers is 55-ft 8-in,
with a lightweight of 61,000-lbs and a GRL of 286,000-lbs. Trough opening is 24-in x
43-ft 8-in with 30-in x 30-in normal discharge gate openings.
